Dig and Explore! Gemstones

Geology you can touch and understand!

In this "Excavate and Explore!" excavation kit, children will use a hammer and chisel to search for fascinating colorful treasures from nature. Layer by layer, they will dig their way through the soft plaster block, revealing various minerals like rock crystal, rose quartz, amethyst, aventurine, and red jasper. Clear, illustrated instructions show exactly how to proceed. Like real geology professionals, children will clean and document their finds, then display them in their room. Of course, the booklet also includes additional information about minerals and stones, and anyone who wants a nice way to store their new treasures will find a suggestion for that too.
