Let's uncover the MYSTERIES OF MARS!

It is called the Red Planet because of the iron oxide in its soil, which gives it a rusty color. Impact craters, mountains, and extinct volcanoes cover its landscape. It contains frozen water in its polar caps. There is no evidence of life. It can be seen in the southwestern evening sky. The first quarter of the moon forms a thin triangle with Saturn and Mars.

How to dig?

Find a clean place to work. Cover the area with paper to avoid a mess. Carefully scrape the digging blocks with the digging tool. The block will crumble as you dig. Use the brush to sweep away small pieces and dust. Are you done uncovering the rocks? Now learn and try to identify your rocks.

Rocks in the kit:

1. Tektite

Description: Tektites are black or dark green glassy objects formed by a meteorite impact on the Earth's surface. They have a unique, sometimes porous structure and a cosmic emanation, which makes them extremely interesting for children and suitable for space-themed STEM activities.

2. Oolitic Hematite

Description: Oolitic hematite has a metallic luster and is easily recognized by its silvery or gray color. It is used to demonstrate natural metal ores and the effect of oxygen on minerals. It is an excellent educational resource for geology and mining lessons.

3. Quartz

Description: One of the most common and beautiful minerals in the world. Quartz is transparent or white and sparkles in light. It is used to teach about crystal structures and is a great example of how minerals form in nature.

4. Red Jasper

Description: Red Jasper is a fiery stone with warm reddish-brown tones. In the past, it was used as an amulet for strength and endurance. It is a great stone for explaining the processes of sedimentation and color variations in rocks.

5. Diamond

Description: Although imitations are most often included in kits, the diamond remains a symbol of hardness and beauty. It is an excellent way to demonstrate the hardness of minerals and introduce the concept of gemstones.
