Medication is aerosolized through a thin membrane or perforated plate: the liquid medication is deposited on the membrane, which, vibrating at high frequency, generates a fine and uniform mist of tiny drug particles (around 3 microns) that pass through the openings and are ideal for inhalation.
Additionally, this nebulization process minimizes medication waste by optimizing delivery.
